Xapika is currently developing a new system that predicts failures, infrastructure issues and delay time. The prediction is being developed, and expected to be ready by mid 2019.

The system will predict the length of delays, learns from past train delay information, and delivers updates through a cloud-based service. The new function will be incorporated into Maintenance Management System.

The prototype machine will learn from past railway operations and combine this information with train conditions information received over 150 sensors installed on the trains in real time. As a result, it will provide Maintenance Team on the ground accurate, real-time predictions about failures and even possibly delay times.

The service will utilize vast amounts of data collected from train sensors, and combine this with Xapika’s AI technology, to enable the technology to be deployed.
